### Steps to reproduce

1. Login as a user

2. On an expanded menu (left side of screen), drag the menu bigger by pulling the "bar" to the right


### What is the buggy behavior?

* Instead of staying expanded, the menu will snap to the left edge of the screen (see attached video)


### What is the expected behavior?

1. The menu should remain expanded when dragged bigger
